North Charleston, NC (January 16, 2024) – One victim lost their life as a result of a fatal crash that occurred on Sunday evening in North Charleston. The North Charleston Police Department responded to the scene with the assistance of area firefighters.
On January 13, calls for help came in regarding a crash on Interstate 526. The South Carolina Department of Transportation reported that a moped was involved in a collision with another vehicle on the westbound side of the interstate near Exit 15. One person involved in the crash suffered fatal injuries. The victim was pronounced deceased by authorities. The police and firefighters shut down the roadway until approximately five a.m. on January 14 as they worked to clear the scene and investigate. Investigations are currently ongoing.
