North Charleston, SC (February 13, 2024) – The Charleston County Coroner’s Office identified the two victims who lost their lives as a result of the motor vehicle crash that occurred on Sunday evening, February 11.
Police reports indicate that at approximately 7:30 p.m., a collision between two vehicles occurred on Dorchester Road near Brossy Circle. Authorities arrived at the scene and confirmed that two people in one of the vehicles were fatally injured. The victims were pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities later identified the victims as 18-year-old Tavares Simpson and 18-year-old Niy’Aisha Haynes, both of North Charleston. One person in the second vehicle was injured and transported to an area hospital for medical care. The incident is being investigated at this time.
