Powder Springs, GA (December 30, 2023) – A 58-year-old woman from Marietta, Georgia, lost her life as a result of an automobile collision that occurred on Thursday evening in Powder Springs. The crash was reported to the Cobb County Police Department at around 6:45 p.m. on December 28.
Law enforcement reports indicate that a Nissan Pathfinder was involved in a collision in the area of Lost Mountain Road and Macland Woods Drive. As a result of the collision, the vehicle went off the roadway. The Pathfinder then returned to the road and crashed into a concrete drainage pipe. The driver, identified as Margaret Hamby, was fatally injured in the crash. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, investigations are underway by the Cobb County Police’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Program Unit.
