Winston-Salem, NC (December 19, 2023) – Officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department were summoned to provide assistance at the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Friday evening, December 15. The crash occurred at around 4:10 p.m.
According to police reports, a 1996 Mazda pickup truck, a 2002 Ford Escape, and a 2017 Ram Promaster van were all involved in a collision on New Walkertown Road near Northampton Drive. The vehicles came to rest, blocking the roadway. One person involved in the accident, identified as 73-year-old Nathaniel Clemens, died from his injuries while at the scene. At this time, the Winston-Salem Police Department is investigating to determine what caused this collision to occur.
