Winston-Salem, NC (March 1, 2024) – The Winston-Salem Police Department identified the victim of Wednesday evening’s crash as Zackary Mullins.
Crash reports indicate that at around 7:40 p.m. on February 28, emergency officials were called to the scene of an automobile accident that occurred on Highway 52. Authorities confirmed that two vehicles and a pedestrian were involved in a collision on the roadway near University Parkway.
Authorities responded to the scene of the accident and closed off the southbound side of the road between University Parkway and Haynes Mill Road. Reports show that a pedestrian was attempting to cross the roadway when they were struck by two vehicles. The pedestrian, identified as Mullins, suffered fatal injuries. Two other victims were treated for minor injuries. At this time, the Winston-Salem Police Department’s Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the collision.
