Alpharetta, GA (May 20, 2024) – The Alpharetta Police Department is investigating a fatal accident that occurred in the area on Tuesday evening, May 14. The accident claimed the lives of three teenagers.
Official reports indicate that at around 7:55 p.m., a motor vehicle collision occurred on Westside Parkway. The impact of the crash caused one vehicle to go off the roadway and into a tree line, where it flipped over. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway between Hembree Road and Maxwell Road. Two people involved in the accident were fatally injured and immediately pronounced deceased at the scene. The victims were identified as 18-year-old Sriya Avasarala and 18-year-old Aryan Joshi. The third victim, 18-year-old Anvi Sharma, was transported to North Fulton hospital. Authorities confirmed that the victim died from her injuries on Wednesday morning, May 15. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
