Asheville, NC (April 9, 2024) – A 16-year-old student at the Myers Park High School lost her life as a result of a fatal accident that occurred in the Asheville area on Saturday, April 6.
At around 11:30 p.m., a 2015 Volvo passenger vehicle was traveling eastbound on Interstate 40. As the vehicle attempted to take the accident, he became involved in a collision. A 16-year-old female inside the vehicle was severely injured. She was pronounced deceased as a result of her injuries. One additional victim suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. Two other victims were admitted in critical condition to a local hospital. Two additional victims were treated for injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
