Atlanta, GA (January 29, 2024) – The Georgia State Patrol confirmed that Trooper Jimmy Cenescar lost his life as a result of a fatal collision that occurred on Sunday evening in Gwinnett County. The accident occurred on January 28.
According to official reports, Trooper Cenescar was traveling on Interstate 85 while attempting to stop a motorcycle that was fleeing on the roadway. As he proceeded down the roadway, he became involved in a collision near Old Peachtree Road. Authorities rushed to the scene of the accident to care for the victim. He was rushed to Northside Gwinnett Hospital, where he died from his injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
