Summerton, SC (January 29, 2024) – Clarendon County Coroner Jacqueline Blackwell confirmed that 48-year-old Tony Junious lost his life as a result of a fatal collision that occurred on Saturday in Summerton. The accident occurred during the morning hours on January 27.
According to reports provided by the South Carolina Highway Patrol, at around 10:30 a.m., two vehicles collided at the intersection of Governor Richardson Road and Liberty Hill Road. At the time of the collision, a Chevrolet Impala was traveling westbound on the roadway when it collided with the Dodge Charger. The force of the crash caused the Chevrolet to go off the right side of the roadway and collide with the ditch. Two people involved in the accident were injured. Authorities confirmed that one of the victims, identified as Junious, passed away after arriving at the hospital. At this time, the crash is under investigation.
