Bladen Co., NC (January 20, 2024) – The North Carolina State Highway Patrol confirmed that 18-year-old Amaya Manae Johnson and a 10-month-old child lost their lives as a result of an automobile accident that occurred in Bladen County, just outside of Clarkton. The accident was reported to authorities at approximately 5:30 p.m. on January 18.
According to authorities, a Honda Accord was heading eastbound on North Carolina 211 when it collided head-on with a log truck. Two people in the Honda, identified as Johnson and the young child, were killed in the accident. Both victims were pronounced deceased by authorities. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
