Graniteville, SC (January 20, 2024) – One person lost their life as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Graniteville on Wednesday afternoon. At around two p.m. on January 17, authorities were called to provide help at the scene of a crash on Old Ninety Six Indian Trail.
According to official reports, a 2008 international bucket truck was traveling south on the roadway when it collided with a 2003 Honda Accord in the area near New Holland Road. The driver of the Honda, identified as 39-year-old Christopher Chandler, was fatally injured in the crash. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Aiken County Coroner’s Office. The truck driver was transported to an area hospital for medical care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
