Boiling Springs, SC (January 20, 2024) – A fatal accident reported in Spartanburg County claimed one person’s life on Wednesday afternoon, January 17. The accident occurred at around 3:30 p.m.
Reports provided by the South Carolina Highway Patrol show that a Ford SUV was involved in an accident while traveling on the southbound side of McMillin Boulevard in the area near Cycle Drive. As a result of the crash, the vehicle went off the roadway and struck a utility pole. Two people were injured in the accident. Emergency medical services tended to the victims. However, one of the victims passed away after arriving at the hospital. The victim was identified as 45-year-old James Henry Hastings. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
