Charleston Co., SC (November 20, 2023) – The Charleston Police Department confirmed that multiple people lost their lives as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred during the early morning hours on Saturday. At around 1:24 a.m. on November 18, calls for help came in regarding a crash on Riverland Drive.
According to reports, a collision involving a 2010 Cadillac SUV occurred in the area of George Griffith Boulevard and James Island. The Cadillac went off the side of the roadway and collided with a tree. The vehicle was occupied by five people at the time of the crash.
Four people were ejected from the vehicle. The victims were severely hurt in the crash. Authorities arrived at the scene and pronounced them deceased. The fifth victim was injured and transported to the Medical University of South Carolina for care. The crash is being investigated at this time.
