Charlotte, NC (December 24, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Charlotte area claimed one person’s life. The crash occurred at around 5:45 a.m. on December 19.
According to reports provided by the Charlotte Police Department, a 2005 Chevrolet Express Van was traveling on East Independence Boulevard. For unknown reasons, he became involved in a collision near Albemarle Road. The van went off the side of the roadway as a result of the crash. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as 22-year-old Wilmer Noe Aguilera Lopez, was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was injured and transported to an area hospital. At this time, the crash is being investigated.
