Charlotte, NC (December 4, 2023) – The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) responded to the scene of a fatal accident that took place on Saturday evening. 911 dispatchers were notified of the collision just after 10 p.m. on Saturday, December 2.
According to local news sources, a collision between vehicles occurred p at the intersection of Pence Road and Viola Drive. The incident caused severe delays in the area near Albemarle Road as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. The police confirmed that one person lost their life as a result of this accident. The number of injured victims is not known at this time. The police department is actively investigating to determine what caused this accident to occur.
