Columbia, SC (December 3, 2023) – A crash reported in Northeast Columbia claimed one person’s life while leaving more than half of a dozen others injured. The accident occurred at around 5:40 p.m. on November 30. According to local law enforcement, a collision involving a 2011 Nissan Rogue, a 2003 Mercury, and multiple other vehicles occurred on Parklane Road near Crestbrook Road.
The incident prompted the response of the South Carolina Highway Patrol and multiple firefighters. A total of six units were involved in the crash. One person sustained fatal injuries in the crash. The victim was inside the Nissan at the time of the collision. Seven additional victims were injured and transported by ambulance to local hospitals. At this time, the incident is being investigated by law enforcement.
