Charlotte, NC (January 30, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Charlotte on Monday evening claimed one person’s life. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of the accident at approximately 11:45 p.m. on January 29.
According to official reports, a collision blocked the northbound side of Interstate 85 in the area near Billy Graham Parkway. The incident prompted the closure of the road as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. Authorities confirmed that one person involved in the accident was pronounced deceased on site. The number of injured parties is not known at this time. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is currently investigating.
