Cherokee Co., GA – Tow Truck Driver Loses Life in Crash on I-575

Cherokee Co., GA (October 20, 2023) – The Woodstock Police confirmed that a tow truck driver suffered fatal injuries due to a crash in Cherokee County on Thursday.

Officials with the Georgia Department of Transportation reported the incident during the afternoon hours on October 19.

According to reports, a tow truck driver, 48-year-old Frank Ingram, was attending to a car on the southbound side of Interstate 575. As he assisted at the scene, he was struck by another vehicle.

Ingram was fatally injured due to the crash. No other injuries were reported.

The Woodstock Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
