Monroe, GA (October 20, 2023) – A motorcyclist died as a result of a fatal crash reported on Thursday in Monroe.
At around 4:15 p.m. on October 19, first responders were requested at the scene of an automobile accident that occurred on Georgia 138.
According to officials provided by the Georgia State Patrol, a motorcyclist was traveling on the highway during the early evening hours. A Hyundai Sonata was attempting to enter the roadway after leaving a Chick-fil-A parking lot in the area. As the vehicle pulled out, it failed to yield the right-of-way and collided with the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was fatally injured due to the crash. The victim was pronounced deceased on site.
Authorities identified the victim as Terry Campbell. The incident is currently being investigated.
