Cherokee Co., GA (January 1, 2024) – A woman from Panama City Beach, Florida, lost her life as a result of an automobile accident that took place in Cherokee County on Monday afternoon.
At around 145 p.m., the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the scene of an automobile collision on Cumming Highway. Preliminary crash reports indicate that a head-on collision involving an eastbound Toyota Tacoma and a Lexus passenger vehicle occurred on the highway. The driver of the Lexus, identified as 71-year-old Vickie Walker, was severely harmed in the crash. Walker was rushed to an area hospital, where she later died from her injuries. The driver of the Toyota, identified as a 17-year-old, was treated for injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
