Fatal Auto Accidents in South Carolina
Fatal accidents are reported every day in our state. These incidents add up to more than 1000 people dying on our roadways due to vehicle collisions. In some cases, these accidents are completely preventable. We often see acts of negligence lead to the loss of lives. Some of the leading factors in vehicle crashes reported across our state include:
- Driver inattention: Distractions behind the wheel can lead to fatal collisions due to a momentary lack of focus.
- Tailgating: Traveling too closely to other vehicles heightens the risk of severe accidents, as it may prevent drivers from stopping in time to avoid a collision.
- Running stop signs: Ignoring stop signs at intersections often leads to collisions, with vehicles crashing into others with the right of way.
