Columbus, GA (November 8, 2023) – The Harris County coroner’s office confirmed that a woman lost her life as a result of an automobile accident that took place in the Columbus area.
On November 4, calls for help came in regarding an accident that took place at Steeplechase. Reports show that a woman was riding an ATV when she became involved in an accident. As a result of the collision, the ATV flipped over and pinned the woman underneath.
Authorities responded to Steeplechase at Callaway Gardens, which is located on Warm Springs Road, to provide assistance.
The woman involved in the accident, identified as 44-year-old Mitchi McKnight, was fatally injured. She was pronounced deceased by responding officers.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
