Fatal Auto Accidents in Georgia
Fatal accidents are reported every day in the state of Georgia. The unfortunate truth is that many of these accidents are preventable. Innocent people lose their lives as a result of fatal collisions that are caused by reckless and negligent drivers. Some of the most common factors in fatal collisions across our state include:
- Driving under the influence (DUI): when drivers are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, they may not be able to operate their vehicle responsibly. Impairment can significantly affect the driver’s judgment and their ability to make responsible decisions.
- Reckless driving: when a person engages in reckless actions, it can have devastating consequences. Unfortunately, we see many reckless drivers tailgate other vehicles, switch lanes in a careless manner, and engage in other actions that directly place the lives of others at risk.
- Weather conditions: inclement weather conditions can increase the likelihood of an accident taking place. This can include heavy rain, fog, and icy roads.
