Rowan Co., NC (February 7, 2024) – A fatal motor vehicle accident was reported in Rowan County on Monday afternoon and one person’s life. The accident occurred at approximately 1:20 p.m. on February 5.
According to law enforcement reports, a collision took place on Highway 70 in the area near Parks Road. The incident prompted authorities to close down the eastbound lanes of travel. The North Carolina Department of Transportation reported significant delays throughout the area as emergency crews remained on site. Medical personnel responded to the scene of the crash to provide care to the injured victims. However, one person was fatally injured and pronounced deceased by authorities. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
