North Charleston, SC (December 10, 2023) – One person lost their life as a result of an automobile accident that took place in North Charleston. Calls for assistance came in on December 5 regarding a collision on Interstate 526.
According to official reports, a collision between vehicles took place on Interstate 526 in the area between Dorchester Road and Montauk Avenue. The incident caused authorities to shut down the roadway extensively as they worked to clear the scene. One person was severely hurt in the crash. The victim, identified as 55-year-old Philip Livingston IV, was transported to the Medical University of South Carolina. The North Charleston Police Department confirmed that he passed away from his injuries. At this time, investigations are underway.
