Oconee Co., SC (May 3, 2024) – A 73-year-old woman lost her life as a result of a fatal accident that occurred in Oconee County on Monday, April 29. The South Carolina Highway Patrol was called to the scene of the accident at around 11:00 a.m.
Official reports indicate that Mildred Towe Kelley was driving a 2017 Ford sedan on Wolf Stake Church Road during the morning hours. As her vehicle proceeded through the area of South Carolina Highway 183, it was struck by a 2019 Honda SUV. Kelley was severely hurt as a result of the accident. Despite medical efforts, she was pronounced deceased on the scene. No other injuries were reported. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
