Pendleton, SC (October 29, 2023) – The Anderson County Coroner’s Office confirmed that a man died as a result of a bicycle accident that occurred in Pendleton on Saturday morning.
At around 1:30 a.m. on October 28, authorities were called to the scene of an automobile collision that occurred on Highway 76.
According to official reports, 41-year-old Robert Andre Robinson of Greenville, South Carolina, was riding a bicycle on the roadway near Tiger Express Wash Pen. For unknown reasons, he was struck by an SUV that was traveling north on the roadway.
Robinson was fatally injured due to the crash. He was pronounced dead by responding law enforcement.
The accident is actively being investigated by law enforcement at this time.
