Perquimans Co., NC (January 6, 2024) – Emergency crews out of Perquimans County were called to the scene of a fatal accident that took place early Saturday morning. Calls for assistance came in at around 12:10 a.m. on January 6.
Reports from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol indicate that a collision involving vehicles took place on Drinking Hole Road during the early morning hours. Authorities arrived at the scene and located two injured victims. The Perquimans County EMS rendered aid to the victims on-site. Nightingale air ambulance crew responded to transport one of the victims to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment. The second victim was pronounced deceased at the scene due to their injuries. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is currently investigating the incident.
