Pink Hill, NC (December 13, 2023) – The North Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the scene of an automobile accident that took place in Pink Hill and claimed one person’s life. The accident was reported at around 645 a.m. on December 10.
According to official reports, 37-year-old Ashley Lopez was driving a vehicle on Highway 111 when she became involved in a collision with a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder. Authorities responded to the scene and closed down the roadway between Cabin Street and Kitty Noecker Road as they provided assistance. Lopez suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased while on site. Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
