Raleigh, NC (November 2, 2023) – A Shaw University student lost his life as a result of an automobile accident that occurred late Tuesday evening, October 31.
At around 11:15 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the site of a crash in the 1400 block of Hammond Road.
Reports from the police indicate that 18-year-old Ky’rese Dye and 18-year-old Jesdon Bloomer were traveling on the roadway in a gray sedan when they were involved in a collision. The incident left the sedan severely hurt. The two victims were injured in the crash. Bloomer was rushed to a local hospital for emergency care. Dye was fatally injured and pronounced deceased on-site.
The crash is actively being investigated.
