Fatal Car Accidents in South Carolina
Fatal car accidents can be incredibly challenging for families to deal with. Unfortunately, countless people lose their lives as a result of fatal crashes in our state every year. There are many instances where innocent people die in crashes due to negligent and careless drivers.
The unfortunate truth is that we see many accidents take place as a result of negligent drivers. One of the leading causes of fatal collisions is distracted driving. When drivers are talking on the phone, texting, or even eating while behind the wheel, they are not paying attention to the road ahead and can crash into other vehicles.
Drunk driving is another significant factor that contributes to many accidents across our state. Alcohol can have a significant impact on a person’s reaction time, coordination, and judgment. When innocent people are traveling near drunk drivers, they are at risk of suffering severe and fatal injuries.
Regrettably, there are also a significant number of accidents that take place as a result of drivers who fail to obey traffic laws. Running red lights, passing stop signs, disregarding yield signs, and even changing lanes in a reckless manner can have overwhelming consequences.
