Raleigh, NC (April 4, 2024) – Emergency crews confirmed that one person died as a result of a fatal collision reported on Monday evening in the Raleigh area. The crash occurred at around 7:30 p.m. on April 1.
According to reports from local news sources, a collision involving two vehicles occurred in the 2300 block of Sunnybrook Road. Emergency crews rushed to the scene and closed off the roadway. One person involved in the crash was fatally injured. The victim was pronounced deceased on-site. Two additional victims were injured and transported to area hospitals for medical care. The police and firefighters closed off the roadway between Rock Quarry Road and Sunbright Lane for an extended period while investigating. These investigations are currently ongoing.
