West Columbia, SC (April 5, 2024) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed that 34-year-old Marvin Orlando Felipe Perez lost his life as a result of a motor vehicle accident reported in West Columbia on Wednesday morning, April 3.
At around 6:40 a.m., authorities were called to the scene of an accident that occurred on Edmund Highway. Preliminary reports show that Perez was walking in the 4000 block of the roadway when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle. Perez was severely injured in the accident. Despite medical aid provided to him by responding EMS personnel, he passed away from his injuries while at the scene. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
