Rock Hill, SC (January 15, 2024) – One person died, and a second person was injured as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in York County. The crash was reported by the South Carolina Highway Patrol at around 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, January 11.
According to SCHP reports, a GMC Sierra was traveling northbound on Leslie Highway during the morning hours. For unknown reasons, the vehicle collided with a Kia Optima. The GMC then went off the roadway and overturned. The driver of the Kia was fatally harmed in the crash and pronounced deceased on-site. The driver of the GMC suffered serious injuries and was rushed to an area hospital for emergency care. At this time, investigations are underway.
