St Stephen, SC (November 22, 2023) – A 17-year-old male lost his life in a fatal collision that occurred in Berkley County on Sunday, November 19. The South Carolina Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of the crash at around 3:37 p.m.
According to official reports, a head-on collision between a 2002 Ford Ranger pickup truck and a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck took place on Russellville Road. The incident prompted authorities to shut down the roadway as they provided assistance.
The driver of the Chevrolet was fatally injured in the crash. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Ford was injured. The Berkeley County EMS responded to care for the victim and transported them to a local hospital. The crash is being investigated.
