Winston-Salem, NC (December 25, 2023) – The Winston-Salem Police Department confirmed that a teenager lost their life as a result of an automobile collision that occurred on Friday evening, December 22. Authorities in Winston-Salem were called to the scene of the accident at approximately 11:30 p.m.
According to police reports, a collision involving an undisclosed number of vehicles occurred on US Highway 52 N. near Akron Drive. The incident prompted authorities to close down the roadway as they provided assistance. Upon arriving at the scene, authorities located 19-year-old Victoria Rose Brown lying on the roadway next to a vehicle. Brown was severely harmed in the crash and pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was located under the vehicle on the roadway. The victim was severely hurt and rushed to an area hospital for emergency care. One person involved in the accident fled the scene without stopping. The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
